Executive Director Barbara "Bunnie" Gerson, MSW, LCSW, a native New Yorker received her Masters in Social Work from Yeshiva University - Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She has worked within the field of gerontology for over 25 years. Barbara's passion is meeting the needs of the elderly as well as providing peace of mind to family members. Barbara considers Weinberg Village - Assisted Living Facility, her home away from home. She takes pride in the facility's care of its seniors and Judaism's commitment of taking care of those who have taken care of us. Barbara can be found throughout the facility - assessing needs and getting things done. Barbara's "can do" attitude helps make Weinberg Village the 5 star Assisted Living Facility that it is.
Marketing Director Dan Sultan and the entire Weinberg Village team take great pride in serving seniors, their families and friends expediently and expertly. Dan is an experienced professional who handles inquiries with skill, care and compassion. Dan always makes himself available to assist any caregiver who may be overwhelmed in dealing with issues and/or challenges while caring for their loved one(s). Dan holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree specializing in Marketing and Business Administration.
Controller Pam Levenstone has been with Weinberg Village since February of 2000. The Controller is responsible for all aspects of the facilities accounting and financial related activities. Pam has a Baccalaureate degree in Accounting and a Master's in Business Administration. Pam brings her experience and knowledge of customer service to her daily activities at Weinberg Village. Meeting the needs of the residents has always been Pam's focus. Her attitude is always one of professionalism and care.
Housekeeping Director Nelly Reyes is a hard worker who never knows the phrase "I can't, or I won't". She has been with Weinberg Village since 2004, maintaining the facility and priding herself in it's immaculate condition. One of her many jobs is to decorate the rooms for the future residents of Weinberg Village. Nelly gives every job her 100% and her attitude is reflected in the quality of service she provides.
Food Service Director Sylvia Cohen has been with Weinberg Village Food Services since August 2004. She studied in Morocco, France, & Israel. Sylvia Cohen is fluent in four languages. The Food Service Director is responsible for menus, food budget, and making sure that all special dietary needs of the residents are met. Sylvia brings with her, her knowledge of laws of Kashrut, Moroccan, French, and Israeli food together with a great enthusiasm for her job.
Activities Director Nina Goldstein is the Director of Activities at Weinberg Village. She is a native of Key West, Florida and has lived in Tampa for the last few years. Nina is responsible for planning and implementing programs that stimulate, motivate, and entertain the residents. These programs include fitness, music, art, games, reading and writing groups, intergenerational programs, and various outings. Nina's dedication to the residents of Weinberg Village is reflected through her kind and genuine persona and her positive attitude.
Human Resources Gilda Gomez, Human Resources Coordinator, has been with Weinberg Village since 2005. Gilda, a Native of the Dominican Republic, lived in New York City and Providence R.I. and then relocated to Tampa, Florida in 2004. Gilda brings with her, her expertise in Human Resources, and is a real "people person". Gilda's philosophy is that “we work in our resident's home, let's treat them with respect."
