Volunteer Information
The Weinberg Village Friendly Visitor Program offers regular
supportive visits to our senior residents. The program
offers volunteer opportunities to community members who enjoy
working with seniors and enriching each others lives. As
with all volunteer assignments, new volunteer participants are
interviewed and trained prior to participation.
There are two components of the Friendly Visitor Program:
1. Compassion: Being respectful and considerate of staff and
residents.
2. Commitment and Consistency: Maintaining regularly scheduled
visits
with assigned senior or group activity.
As a volunteer in the Friendly Visitor Program, you will:
- Sign in with proper ID and report to the appropriate staff
person.
- Conduct all visits at the individuals' residence only.
- The time requirement is 4 hours per month.
